Three arrested after fight with metal bars in motel parking lot Saturday night
On Saturday, May 13th, 2023, at 11:29 pm, the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported aggravated assault in progress at Travelodge, 201 W Glenwood Ave, Turlock, where two men were hitting each other in the head with metal bars in the parking lot.
When officers arrived on scene, they contacted and identified both the involved parties, Luiz Martinez, 25, of Turlock, and Angelo Gomez, 27, of Turlock, as well as one of their acquaintances, Angelina Pinon, 26, of Turlock.
Neither Martinez nor Gomez stated that they wanted to be victims of anything and both refused medical treatment.
When officers had their dispatcher run the three, they discovered that Martinez was on parole for assault with a firearm, Gomez had two felony warrants out of Merced County, and Pinon had two bench warrants. Gomez’s first warrant was a $50,000 Ramey for burglary and vandalism, while his second was a $55,000 bench warrant for grand theft, burglary, and vandalism. Pinon’s first warrant was a $100,500 local felony one for child abuse or endangerment under circumstances likely to produce great bodily harm or death, while her second was a $25,500 misdemeanor one out of Stanislaus County for reckless driving.
Officers then called Martinez’s parole agent and notified him of what had occurred. The parole agent found that there was probable cause a violation of parole had occurred, so he authorized that Martinez be placed on a hold while awaiting a parole revocation hearing.
Martinez, Gomez, and Pinon were all arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center, Martinez on charges of disorderly conduct and violation of parole, and Gomez and Pinon on their warrants.
