On Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 1:42 am, Turlock Police, Turlock Fire, and American Medical Response responded to a traffic collision with injuries at W Taylor Rd and N Golden State Blvd.
The caller reported a vehicle had rolled over, and he had pulled a woman out of it.
When units arrived on scene, they found a single vehicle involved, dirty-side up.
The vehicle’s driver was identified as Andrea Nevarez, 24, of Keyes. Nevarez suffered minor injuries and refused to be transported to the hospital.
While speaking with Nevarez, Officer Arroyo noticed that she displayed objective symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol. Nevarez also admitted to drinking, performed poorly in standardized field sobriety tests, and blew into a preliminary alcohol screening device.
Based on the totality of the circumstances, Officer Arroyo determined Nevarez was under the influence of alcohol and arrested her. Nevarez provided two breath samples at the scene, which indicated her blood alcohol content was more than double the legal limit. Nevarez was subsequently issued a driver’s license suspension order, and her vehicle was towed.
Nevarez was released on a citation for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or greater.
