Public Nuisance Arrested After Causing Noise Disturbance

On Friday, October 24, 2025, at 3:15 pm, Turlock Police responded to a noise disturbance at Ross in the 2400 block of Geer Rd.

The caller was familiar with Sara Freitas, 44, of Turlock, and reported that she had been riding her bicycle around in the area, screaming for no apparent reason. The caller further reported that Freitas had been doing this all day, and that he wanted to place her under citizen’s arrest for committing a public nuisance.

It should be noted that Turlock Police regularly encounter Freitas, and she has a known history of this type of behavior.

Officer Aziz arrived in the area and began searching for Freitas, but was initially unable to locate her. However, a few minutes later, he located her in the 2700 block of Geer Rd and stopped her.

Even to Officer Aziz, Freitas was yelling, making nonsensical statements, and exhibiting other irrational behavior indicative of being under the influence of a narcotic.

Freitas was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for disorderly conduct.
