Firefighters extricate collision victim Thursday evening

On Thursday, April 8th, 2021, at approximately 8:00 pm, the Turlock Police Department received a call of an injury vehicle collision at N Golden State Blvd and East Ave. Officers responded along with American Medical Response and the Turlock Fire Department’s Battalion 4, Engine 31, and Squad 32.

The first officer on scene reported two vehicles involved with two occupants still in one of the vehicles. The driver was able to get out but the passenger was not. Fire crews arrived on scene shortly after and began extricating the pinned passenger. Once the pinned passenger was extricated, herself and the driver were both transported to a local area hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

Both vehicles sustained moderate to major damage and had to be towed away from the scene. The roadway was cleared approximately an hour later.
