Felon with over $200,000 in warrants arrested during Monday night traffic stop

On Monday, September 13th, 2021, at 9:05 pm, a Turlock Police officer in the area of the Venice Motel, 1114 N Golden State Blvd, Turlock, observed a vehicle violate a section of the California Vehicle Code and made a traffic stop on it.

The driver pulled the vehicle into the parking lot of the Venice Motel, where the officer made contact with him and his passenger.

When the officer conducted a warrants check on the passenger, Nico Vigil, 29, of Ceres, he learned that Vigil had two felony warrants out for his arrest totaling just over $200,000. One of the warrants was out of the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office for aggravated assault and the other one was out of the Turlock Police Department for grand theft.

Vigil was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on his two warrants.

The driver of the vehicle was lectured and release for his Vehicle Code violation.
