Grass fire extends into RV Tuesday afternoon
On Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022, at 3:11 pm, the Turlock Fire Department was dispatched to a reported vegetation fire alongside State Route 99 near Ike’s Appliance Repair, 1107 W Linwood Ave, Turlock.
When crews arrived on scene, they found a grass fire that had extended into a recreational vehicle. Smoke from the fire affected visibility on the southbound state of State Route 99 until crews were able to get the fire under control.
Crews were quickly able to get the fire under control and extinguish it, keeping it contained to the grass and RV.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
