Man arrested after being found with unserialized handgun and extended magazine during traffic stop early Friday morning

On Friday, June 10th, 2022, at 12:01 am, a Turlock Police officer near Goodwill, 749 N Golden State Blvd, Turlock, observed a vehicle violate the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on it.

The officer made contact with the vehicle’s driver, Deshawn Farran, 26, of Turlock, and determined that he did not have a valid driver’s license, so he was arrested.

A search of Farran’s vehicle incident to arrest led to the discovery of an unserialized handgun with an extended magazine.

Farran was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of carrying a concealed firearm, carrying a loaded firearm, driving without a valid driver’s license, and possession of a large-capacity magazine.
