Man arrested after stolen trailer discovered during traffic stop Tuesday night
On Tuesday, June 14th, 2022, at 11:16 pm, a Turlock Police officer near Mario’s Authentic Tacos, 216 N Golden State Blvd, Turlock, observed a vehicle violate the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on it.
The officer made contact with the vehicle’s occupant, Thomas Joseph King, 58, of Atwater, and had his dispatcher run him. King returned clear. When the officer had his dispatcher run the vehicle identification number of the trailer he was towing, it returned stolen.
King was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle.
