Man arrested on two felony warrants during suspicious vehicle contact Thursday night
On Thursday, July 14th, 2022, at 10:34 pm, a Turlock Police officer in the 0 block of E Syracuse Ave, Turlock, got out with a vehicle parked in the front yard of a residence which looked like one that had been involved in a mail theft from a porch earlier in the day.
The vehicle was determined to be unoccupied, however, a man on the property was contacted and identified as Joseph Tosta, 43, of Waterford. The officer had his dispatcher run Tosta and he returned with two felony warrants for burglary, possession of methamphetamines for sale, selling or transporting methamphetamines, and joyriding.
Tosta was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on his warrants.
Tosta was not the one who had stolen mail off of someone’s porch. Surveillance camera footage showed it to be a woman who was later identified as Angelina Dehaven Jimenez, 24, of Turlock. There are currently no wants for her.
