Traffic stop leads to drug, weapon, and warrant arrests Saturday night

On Saturday, July 16th, 2022, at 10:12 pm, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of Amberwood Ln and E Glenwood Ave, Turlock, observed a vehicle violate the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on it.

The officer made contact with the vehicle’s two occupants, later identified as Juan Perez, 26, of Turlock, and Timothy Harmon, 24, of Modesto, and had his dispatcher run them.

Both subjects returned with several misdemeanor warrants for drug, larceny, and traffic related charges.

A search incident to arrest led to the discovery of narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and a stun gun in Perez’s possession. Perez is a convicted felon and thus is prohibited from possessing a stun gun.

Both subjects were arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on their warrants and Perez on additional charges of possession of methamphetamines and possession of a stun gun by a convicted felon or person convicted of misuse of a stun gun.
