Traffic stop leads to methamphetamines and misdemeanor warrant arrest early Wednesday morning

On Wednesday, August 10th, 2022, at 1:51 am, a Turlock Police officer in the 600 block of Chestnut St, Turlock, observed a vehicle violate the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on it.

The officer made contact with the vehicle’s two occupants and identified them, including driver Luis Ramirez Espinoza, 32, of Orland.

The officer then had his dispatcher run both subjects and Espinoza returned to have a misdemeanor warrant out of Stanislaus County for possession of burglary tools and was on probation for auto theft.

Espinoza was arrested and a subsequent search of his vehicle led to the discovery of methamphetamines.

Espinoza was released on a citation on charges of possession of methamphetamines and driving without a valid driver’s license as well as his warrant.
