Man wanted for vandalism spits on officer while being arrested Friday afternoon

On Friday, September 2nd, 2022, at 3:20 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported trespass in progress at 1000 East Ave, Turlock, after a man who was making customers feel uncomfortable had refused to leave.

When officers arrived on scene, they found Daniel Nettles, 23, of Turlock, and knew that he was wanted for vandalism.

When officers arrested Nettles, he resisted by spitting on them in the process.

Nettles was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of obstructing or resisting an executive officer with violence, battery against a peace officer or other public officer in the performance of their duties, and vandalism.
