Man injured after causing vehicle to overturn and come to rest partially over canal Monday afternoon

On Monday, September 26th, 2022, at 4:36 pm, the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with injuries across the street from a residence in the 2100 block of W Taylor Rd, Turlock.

When crews arrived on scene, they found a single vehicle involved, a red Honda coupe. The vehicle had gone off of the roadway, struck an irrigation system, overturned, and come to final rest partially over the canal.

The vehicle had a single occupant, its driver, who suffered moderate injuries. He was ground transported by American Medical Response to a local hospital.

The vehicle sustained major damage and was deemed inoperable as a result of the collision, requiring it to be towed away.

It’s currently unknown how the collision occurred.
