Man arrested for felony hit and run after surrendering Wednesday afternoon
On Wednesday, January 4th, 2023, at 3:28 pm, a man arrived at the Turlock Police Department to surrender himself after fleeing the scene of a vehicle collision with injuries that had occurred on Saturday, December 24th, 2022 at the intersection of W Taylor Rd and Mountain View Rd, Turlock.
The collision occurred at 3:59 pm on that day and the driver who was the sole occupant of the only other vehicle involved suffered minor injuries.
The man was identified as Prabjeet Shergill, 31, of Turlock.
Shergill was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the charge of failure by a driver involved in an accident resulting in the injury or death of another person to stop at the scene.
