On Sunday, February 5th, 2023, at 7:45 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported vehicle collision in front of a residence in the 1800 block of Fulkerth Rd, Turlock.

When officers arrived on scene, they found two vehicles involved. The first one was a white Chevrolet Malibu and the second one was a gray Ford F-250.

The Malibu had a total of two occupants, including driver Amanda Laughlin, 36, of Denair. Neither Laughlin nor her passenger suffered any injuries. The F-250 was parked and unoccupied.

While speaking with Laughlin, officers noticed that she was displaying objective symptoms of being under the influence.

Based on the totality of the circumstances, officers determined that Laughlin was under the influence of alcohol.

Laughlin was released on a citation on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08% or greater. She was also issued an administrative driver’s license suspension order by the California Department of Motor Vehicles and her vehicle was impounded.

The Malibu sustained moderate damage, while the F-250 sustained minor damage.
