Two arrested on warrants during traffic stop early Wednesday morning

On Wednesday, February 22nd, 2023, at 1:46 am, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of S Tegner Rd and W Linwood Ave, Turlock, observed a driver violating the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on him.

The officer made contact with and identified the vehicle’s two occupants, driver Jesus Arteaga, 42, of Turlock and passenger David Cadwalader, 43, of Modesto.

When the officer had his dispatcher run the two, he discovered that Arteaga had a no-bail felony warrant out of Santa Clara County for violation of post release community supervision, while Cadwalader had a $5,000 misdemeanor warrant out of Modesto for possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended driver’s license, and possession of methamphetamines.

Both Arteaga and Cadwalader were arrested on their warrants. Arteaga was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center, while Cadwalader was released on a citation. Additionally, Arteaga’s vehicle was impounded.
