Man arrested on felony narcotics and weapon warrant after being recognized by sergeant Thursday night

On Thursday, April 6th, 2023, at 9:39 pm, a Turlock Police sergeant near Ken’s Big Bear Car Wash, 1075 N Golden State Blvd, Turlock, noticed and recognized a man who he believed had a warrant.

The sergeant had his dispatcher run the man, Gregory Kerschner, 41, of Concord, and it was confirmed that he had a $35,000 felony warrant out of Contra Costa County for possession of methamphetamines for sale, possession of a controlled substance while armed with a loaded and operable firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon or person addicted to a narcotic.

With the assistance of additional officers, Kerschner was contacted and arrested without incident.

During a search incident to arrest, the sergeant discovered that Kerschner was in possession of methamphetamines.

Kerschner was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the charge of possession of methamphetamines, as well as his warrant.
