Woman intentionally crashes into stranger’s vehicle then accidentally crashes into parents’ vehicle Thursday night

On Thursday, May 4th, 2023, at 8:38 pm, the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with injuries at the intersection of W Monte Vista Ave and N Golden State Blvd, Turlock.

When crews arrived on scene, they found two vehicles involved. The first was a silver 2016 Ram 1500, the second was a red 2016 Honda Civic, and the third was a silver GMC Envoy.

Information on injuries was not immediately available.

The silver 1500 and red Civic both sustained moderate damage and were deemed inoperable as a result of the collision, requiring them to be towed away, while the silver Envoy sustained minor damage and was able to be driven away from the scene.

Officers began investigating and learned that the red Civic had been involved in another collision less than an hour prior at the intersection of S Golden State Blvd and Marshall St. In that collision, no one was injured and the damage sustained by both vehicles was very minor.

The red Civic’s driver’s parents had responded to the first collision to check on their daughter and she was following them back home when the second collision occurred. As the red Civic was northbound on N Golden State Blvd approaching W Monte Vista Ave, it struck the left rear of the silver 1500, went around it, and rear-ended the silver Envoy which was being driven by the parents.

Officers determined that at least the second collision was an intentional act and placed the red Civic’s driver on a 72-hour mental health evaluation hold. Once complete, the report will be forwarded to the district attorney’s office for a criminal review, which may result in aggravated assault or vandalism charges being filed.

  • My mother-in-law was in the stranger in this accident. Her truck was pushed 140 feet, she had to go to the emergency room, and the truck (the axle is bent and it being deemed totaled) was only driven away because a friend came and grabbed it for her. The police have not been cooperative with a police report and she was not aware of ANY of this information until we came across this article. If anyone who helped write this article has information they can give us on the other drivers please contact me. It sounds like she was in the wrong place at the wrong time when the red car driver intentionally tried to hit her parents car who was driving in front of my MIL.
