Man arrested after stealing from cash register at work Tuesday afternoon

On Tuesday, July 18th, 2023, at 3:40 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to reported fraudulent activity at The Home Depot, 2800 Countryside Dr, Turlock, after it had been discovered that an employee had been taking money out of the cash register.

When officers arrived on scene and began investigating, they were informed that employee Syed Sajjadi, 20, of Turlock, had taken a total of about $1,000 from the cash register over the span of a 15-day period.

Sajjadi was contacted and taken into custody without incident.

Sajjadi was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the charge of embezzlement.
