On Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 1:40 am, Turlock Police responded to a battery in progress behind Staley’s Club in the 400 block of E Main St.
The caller reported nearly a dozen people fighting in the back parking lot, most of whom had been drinking.
Sergeant Lewis arrived on scene and found the fight was still in progress.
During the investigation, Officer Kauffman ordered Amado Haro, 37, of Atwater, to stop, but he refused. A struggle ensued, and Haro took Officer Kauffman to the ground. After a prolonged struggle, Haro was arrested. Haro displayed objective symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol.
Additionally, Cynthia Haro, 33, of Livingston, also displayed objective symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol. She was also arrested.
Amado and Cynthia were booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for disorderly conduct. Amado was also charged with resisting an executive officer by the use of force and violence.
