Sex Offender Arrested During Consensual Encounter

On Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 11:57 pm, Turlock Police Officer Aziz got out with a suspicious person at Walgreens in the 1500 block of Geer Rd.

Officer Aziz consensually contacted Frank Mason, 41, of Modesto, who willingly identified himself.

Upon conducting a records check of Mason, Officer Aziz discovered he was a sex offender out of compliance and on post-release community supervision for possession of methamphetamine.

Due to being convicted of annoying or molesting a child, Mason was supposed to register as a sex offender with the Modesto Police Department on Tuesday, July 15, but failed to do so.

Mason was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for failure to register as a sex offender and violation of post-release community supervision.
