On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 9:39 pm, Turlock Police Officer Aziz put himself on a warrant arrest at Liquor Club in the 1500 block of Lander Ave.
Officer Aziz had noticed and recognized Gunpreet Sahota, 41, of Turlock, who he knew had warrants. Sahota was stopped and detained in handcuffs. Sure enough, Sahota was confirmed to have four infraction bench warrants out of the Turlock Police Department for various Turlock Municipal Code violations, totaling $800.
Sahota was arrested, and a search incident to arrest led to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl, and drug paraphernalia.
Sahota was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and his warrants.
A few hours later, on Wednesday, September 24, at 1:00 am, Officer Aziz put himself on another warrant arrest at CVS in the 1600 block of Lander Ave.
Officer Aziz had noticed and recognized Jasper McCormick, 41, of Turlock, who he knew had a warrant. McCormick was also stopped and detained in handcuffs. Sure enough, McCormick was confirmed to have a $102,000 misdemeanor bench warrant out of the Turlock Police Department for possession of a controlled substance.
During the contact, McCormick was determined to be in possession of suspected fentanyl and had at least two prior narcotics-related convictions.
McCormick was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for possession of a hard drug with prior convictions and his warrant.
Just a few minutes later, at 1:08 am, Officer Rocha made a traffic stop at Florence St and N Orange St.
Officer Rocha made contact with and identified the vehicle’s driver as Marion Phillips, 69, of Turlock. When Officer Rocha had his dispatcher run Phillips, he discovered he had a no-bail felony bench warrant out of the Turlock Police Department for possession of a hard drug with prior convictions.
McCormick was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on his warrant.
