Motorcyclist flees from police Saturday morning
On Saturday, September 11th, 2021, at 8:00 am, a Turlock Police officer in the downtown area observed a motorcycle driving southbound recklessly at high rates of speed. The officer was able to catch up to the motorcycle near the intersection of Golf Rd and E Linwood Ave, Turlock, and attempted to make a traffic stop on it.
The motorcyclist failed to stop and took off southbound on Golf Rd from the officer. The motorcyclist continued southbound until August Ave, which he turned eastbound onto. The officer then lost the motorcyclist once they got into Delhi.
During the pursuit, speeds reached up to 85 miles per hour. The information was given to the California Highway Patrol and Merced County Sheriff’s Office, who assisted in searching for the motorcyclist in the area where he was last seen, however, those efforts yielded no results.
