Firefighters respond to suspicious tree fire early Thursday morning
On Thursday, March 3rd, 2022, at 3:56 am, the Turlock Fire Department was dispatched to a reported vegetation fire at Stanislaus County Fairgrounds, 900 N Broadway, Turlock.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they found a tree fully involved next to the fairgrounds arch gate.
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to the arch gate or a communication line above.
The fire is being deemed suspicious because a similar fire occurred in the same area on a different tree last week on Tuesday, February 22nd.
