Man arrested on felony weapon charge warrant while violating city ordinance Sunday night

On Sunday, November 13th, 2022, at 9:07 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported city ordinance violation in the 100 block of S Broadway, Turlock.

When officers arrived on scene, they found and made contact with Sammie Lawrence, 51, of Elk Grove.

When officers identified Lawrence and had their dispatcher run him, he returned with a $555,555 felony bench warrant for drawing or exhibiting a deadly weapon other than a firearm in a rude or threatening manner.

Lawrence was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on his warrant.
