Man arrested on PRCS violation warrant and narcotics charge during security check Saturday morning

On Saturday, November 12th, 2022, at 7:51 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a security check at Turlock Inn, 701 Twentieth Century Blvd, Turlock, where a man was walking around in the area bleeding and holding a blood-soaked towel.

Officers arrived on scene and made contact with several people, including Matthew Souza, 39, of Hilmar.

When officers identified Souza and had their dispatcher run him, he returned with a no bail felony bench warrant out of Merced County for violation of post release community supervision.

A subsequent search of Souza’s person led to the discovery of methamphetamines.

Souza was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of methamphetamines and his warrant.
