Baby airlifted after being involved in rural rollover crash Monday evening

On Monday, November 21st, 2022, at 6:08 pm, the California Highway Patrol, Denair Fire Protection District, Turlock Rural Fire Protection District, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with injuries at the intersection of Santa Fe Ave and E Keyes Rd, Denair.

When crews arrived on scene, they found at least one vehicle involved, a Toyota sedan, that had overturned several times. Information indicates that a second vehicle was possibly also involved, however, that has not yet been able to be confirmed.

The Toyota sedan had a total of two occupants, an adult driver and a baby passenger. The adult suffered major injuries and was ground transported by American Medical Response to a local hospital after having to be extricated by firefighters, while the baby suffered unknown injuries and was air transported by PHI Air Medical Services to a regional children’s hospital.

The Toyota sedan sustained major damage and was deemed inoperable as a result of the collision, requiring it to be towed away.

It’s currently unknown how the collision occurred.
