Man with stolen vehicle warrant arrested during larceny call Monday morning

On Monday, December 12th, 2022, at 8:55 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported larceny that had just occurred at Cal-Coast Manufacturing, 424 S Tegner Rd, Turlock, after a man had stolen a water pump from the business.

Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the caller, who told them that the subject was associated with a vehicle parked near the railroad tracks.

Officers located the vehicle and made contact with two, including Douglas Long, 45, of Keyes.

When officers had their dispatcher run Long, he returned with a $50,500 local felony warrant for possession of a stolen vehicle.

Long was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on his warrant.

It’s unknown what ever happened with the original larceny, however, Long was not charged with it.
