Unusual type of robbery occurs at smoke shop Saturday night

On Saturday, December 10th, 2022, at 8:56 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported robbery that had just occurred at Bargain Cigarette, 1669 Lander Ave, Turlock.

When officers arrived on scene, they made contact with the victim who told them that two men had entered the store, told her to get on the ground, and turned off the lights. One of the men began rummaging through the store and taking miscellaneous items, while the second one blocked the victim from the first one.

The two eventually left the store with the stolen property and were last seen heading westbound through the parking lot on foot.

No injuries were reported and no weapons were used.

The investigation remains ongoing.
