Two arrested on warrants after shoplifting from drug store Monday night

On Monday, January 30th, 2023, at 9:38 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported larceny in progress at Rite Aid, 653 N Golden State Blvd, Turlock, after the caller had seen two subjects putting merchandise in their clothing.

When officers arrived on scene, they found and contacted the two in the parking lot who had just left the business with the stolen merchandise. They were identified as Teofilo Ramos, 39, of Merced, and Autumn Trousdale, 25, of Ceres.

When officers had their dispatcher run the two, they discovered that Ramos had three bench warrants and Trousdale had a misdemeanor bench warrant out of Tuolumne County for falsely identifying to a peace officer. Ramos’s first warrant was a $3,000 local misdemeanor one for possession of methamphetamines, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving without a valid driver’s license, his second one was a no-bail felony one out of Merced for violation of probation, and his third one was a no-bail felony one out of Merced for violation of probation and violation of mandatory supervision.

Officers then contacted the business employees and they stated that they did not want the two prosecuted, however, when they had originally called, they told the dispatcher that they did.

Ramos and Trousdale were arrested on their warrants, Ramos was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center and Trousdale was released on a citation.
