On Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 12:24 am, Turlock Police Officer Rocha made a traffic stop at Circle K in the 1600 block of W Main St.
Immediately after making the stop, the vehicle’s two occupants hopped out and became hostile, so they were detained in handcuffs. The driver was immediately recognized as Ceveriano Aronez, 41, of Turlock, from two prior DUI arrests in the past few months, one of which happened to have also been made in the same parking lot.
Aronez also turned out to have two $3,000 misdemeanor bench warrants out of the Turlock Police Department for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or greater. His driver’s license was also suspended for the same.
Inside Aronez’s vehicle, officers located open alcoholic beverages. Additionally, both he and his passenger, Becker Garcia, 35, of Turlock, displayed objective symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol. Officer Rocha had Aronez participate in the horizontal gaze nystagmus test, ultimately arresting him. Garcia was also arrested.
At the scene, Aronez provided two breath samples and was issued another driver’s license suspension order; meanwhile, his vehicle was towed.
Aronez and Garcia were booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center, Aronez for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or greater, driving without a valid license, resisting a peace officer, driving with a suspended license due to DUI, failure to provide evidence of financial responsibility to a peace officer, failing to attach license plates to a vehicle, and his warrant; while Garcia was booked for disorderly conduct.
