On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 12:41 pm, Turlock Police responded to a bomb threat at Pitman High School in the 2500 block of W Christoffersen Pkwy.
Preliminary information indicated that the threat had been made by someone in front of the school, who then ran northbound on N Kilroy Rd after throwing a bomb onto campus. Immediately upon learning of the threat, Officer Beech placed the school on lockdown.
Several additional officers arrived on scene and established a perimeter around the school.
As the investigation progressed, it was discovered that the phone number used to make the call to dispatch was a VoIP number, and prior to calling dispatch, the caller had called the school itself, stating to be part of a satanic cult. Despite this, officers took steps to ensure the campus was safe and clear of any bombs or other threats.
It’s unclear if these calls are related to the threatening calls made to Pitman High and Turlock Junior High last month.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information that could assist is encouraged to call Officer Beech at 209-669-2108.
