Felony Vandalism at Downtown Restaurant Under Investigation

On Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:25 pm, Turlock Police responded to a vandalism that had just occurred at Bistro 234 in the 200 block of E Main St.

The caller reported seeing a man breaking one of the business windows before running westbound on E Main St toward S Golden State Blvd. Officers who were already in the area immediately began checking the area for the suspect, but were unable to locate him.

Officer Tavares contacted the caller nearby, who provided a statement, while Officer Lawrence arrived at the business. Officer Lawrence found that the furthest south window on the east side of the business, facing S Center St, had been completely shattered.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male adult in his twenties, 5’8-5’9 tall, weighing 160-180lbs, wearing a bright red shirt.

A keyholder responded to the scene and estimated the damage to potentially be up to $2,000, well in excess of the $400 felony threshold.
